Dr. Zaibo Jiang is Professor of Medicine at Sun Yat-sen University responsible for graduate education of master’s degree candidates. He is a member of the Standing Committee of the Board of Interventional Radiologists of Guangdong Medical Doctor Association and a member of the Committee of Interventional Radiology of Guangdong Medical Society of Radiology. He serves on the Editorial Board of Chinese Journal of Interventional Radiology(Electronic Edition) and the Editorial Board of Organ Transplantation.

Research Interests

Dr. Zaibo Jiang has a special interest in the interventional radiological management of liver diseases including portal vein cavernoma, portal vein thrombosis, symptomatic portal vein hypertension, Budd-chiari syndrome, complications post orthotopic liver transplantation (OLT), primary liver malignancy and liver metastases, obstructive jaundice and other hepatic pathological processes. He also sees patients with various arterial diseases including peripheral arterial diseases (PAD), diabetic foot, aortic aneurysm, aortic dissection, and congenital vascular malformation.

Education and Experience

Dr. Jiang obtained the degree of MBBS at College of Medicine of the University of Qingdao in 1987. He then finished his Radiology residency at the First Hospital of Zibo City Shandong Province. He acquired the degree of MMSc and MD at Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences in 1993 and was trained in interventional radiology at the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University from 1993-1994. He has been working at the same hospital ever since.
