He is the chief surgeon, MD, Master supervisor and Vice-Dean of surgery department in Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University. He is committee member in Surgery of Chinese medical association branch of the splenic function and splenic surgery group, hepatobiliary pancreatic surgery branch of Guangdong medical association, vascular surgery branch of Guangdong medical association, anticancer association of Guangdong province. He was also honored to be the standing committee member of minimally invasive professional association for liver diseases in Guangdong province, bile pancreatic disease professional association in Guangdong province and Health management institute of hepatobiliary pancreatic professional association in Guangdong province. He was invited to be the editorial board member of Chinese journal of hepatic surgery (Electronic Edition) and Lingnan Modern Clinics in Surgery. He participated in the project “surgical treatment of liver cancer experimental and clinical research” in 1997, and had the honour to get third prize of Guangdong science and technology progress. In 2008, He got the First Prize of Teaching achievement prizes at Sun Yat-Sen University. He has take charge of 4 items of provincial scientific research project. He has trained 10 graduate students now.

He has been engaged in clinical and basic research work of primary liver cancer for many years. He accumulated rich clinical experience in surgery treatment and radiofrequency ablation of liver cancer. Over the years, he was involved in the MSC (mesenchymal stem cell) treatment for liver fibrosis and got the Guangdong Province Natural Science Fund Project ”The therapy of MSC transfected with gene for liver fibrosis ” in 2008. He has since been involved in the field of the hepatocarcinogenesis result from hepatitis B virus.
