Introduction to the Department of Neonatology and NICU

Department of Neonatology and NICU is one of sub-specialties of the pediatric department. It’s a member of the Guangdong Association of Prenatal Medicine and the Neonatology Society of Guangdong Medical Association. We provide a full range of medical services in neonatology. Our medical team consists of 4 Associate Chief Physicians, 3 master supervisors. Two of the employees have doctoral degrees while four of them have master's degrees. Over the years, our research and clinical practice have achieved many breakthroughs in neonatal treatment and received wide recognition from peers and patients from inside and outside the province.

Diagnosis and Treatment

We specialized in the following treatment:

Extremely low birth weight newborns,

Very low birth weight newborns,

Asphyxia,

Hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy,

Neonatal meconium aspiration syndrome,

Severe infectious disease,

Severe ABO hemolytic disease

Neonatal genetic and metabolic diseases,

Long-term tracking and guidance in premature infants,

Small for gestational age infants after discharged.

Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter (PICC),

Umbilical vein catheterization,

Radial artery puncture,

Peripheral arteriovenous synchronous exchange transfusion,
